Thermal label –special paper label covered with thermal-sensitive chemical compound that darkens under the impact of high temperature that allows printing without any cartridges (ribbon).
Thermal Eco labels are sensitive to moisture and to high ambient temperature. Thermal Eco labels have a shelf life of a year at a room temperature.
The printing is made by high temperature with printing head of a printer or scales. That’s why there is no need in additional materials as in case of Semi-gloss labels.
Basic structure of Thermal label:
1. The top layer of a label
2. Glue
3. Separative layer which is used in printing process
4. Basis of a label – film or paper
Thermal label, as the cheapest kind of labels, is used in many areas. It is one of the easiest and fastest ways to mark all kind of goods with the help of thermal labels in rolls.
Comparing thermal labels in rolls with A4 format labels, labels in rolls win doublessly. There is no need in refilling cartridges and prophylaxis of a printer which makes printing cheaper and faster.
